Protected Preachers Will Proclaim

Today’s reading is from
Matthew 24:14; Joel 2:28-32; Revelation 7:9-17

Today our key verse is found in Matthew 24 verse 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

I’ve introduced these protected preachers.  They are Jewish Witnesses, not  those Jehovah Witnesses who stand at our door and knock.  These are flaming evangelist who are sealed and protected by God and for God.

So let me ask the question What will they do?

They will preach during the tribulation and make the gospel known.  They will make it through because they are sealed unto the end.  The believers during this period will not be given the same protection as these witnesses.

But these men will be fiery preachers!    Turn in your Bibles to the Old Testament passage of Joel Chapter 2.  This is a description of this particular time and it pulls together some of the elements that we have been studying.  Read from verse 28 to 32.

These verses corresponds with Matthew 24, and Revelation 7.

This is what the Bible says is going to happen during that time. Several times during the book of Revelation God allows us to see ahead to better days.  I'm thankful for that.  Even in the midst of all of this pain and sorrow, we received glimpses of what it's going to be like when everything is said and done.

Turn with me now to Revelation chapter 7:9.  This is right in the middle of this tribulation period.  Read verse 9-17.

I cannot tell you what it will be like for those who are going through the tribulation.   No one really knows.  I think we are nearing that time, but we are not there yet.

There will be those in my opinion who will be saved during the tribulation.  The multitude of people who are saved during that time, will face persecution beyond anything known to us so far.  The famines they will face, the heartache they will have to endure, will be so overwhelming.
However, when they come out of the tribulation they are greeted in heaven by God, and God gives them back everything that they lost during that tribulation period.  Read the text carefully, they did not have enough to eat, God cares for that. They did not have enough to drink, God provides for that. They are scorched in the sun, and God says they will never be scorched in the sun again, everything that happened in the tribulation is reversed and now together they are gathered around the throne of God seen in worship.

And that beloved is the fruit of the gospel being preached, and then the end shall come.

What an incredible story of prophecy according to the book of Matthew seen throughout other text in the Bible.

Now tomorrow we will ask:  As these preachers preach will anyone be left out?
