Time for Some Tribulation Talk
Today's text is Matthew 24:22
22 And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.
The tribulation will be a time of great distress. Some people get hung up over the shortening of the days. When Jesus says the days will be shortened, he does not mean that these days will be less than 3 ½ years. The word he uses means “cut off” or “terminated.” He means that if this period of calamity were to last any longer, no one would survive the catastrophic conditions. If there was not a termination point to it – no one would ever survive. If you want to know what this time is like just take time to read Revelation chapters 6-19.
The judgment is described in Revelation and it shows that Christ means exactly what he said. The world situation will become incredibly severe–the 4th seal judgments found in Revelation 6-8 describes the killing of ¼ the of the world's population. The 6th trumpet found in Revelation 9:13 to 21 speaks of 1/3rd of the world’s remaining population being destroyed. Those 2 judgments alone would account for the deaths of half the world’s population! And these are only one part of those terrible judgments overtaking the world. This period of time will be one disastrous event after another. There will be anguish and suffering such as the world has never known.
When the anti-Christ breaks the covenant in the middle of the tribulational period - all hell will come to earth. And blood is going to flow and it is a terrible time of judgment. Thank God we will not be here. I love Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
The tribulation will be a time of great deception. In Matthew 23-27 It is also going to be a time of great deception. There have always been false Christ’s, but this will be a time of unparalleled deception as the world dictator and the false prophet work their demonic magic.
I believe AI will be a big part of this deception and take over. Those who listened to Jesus's advice to flee to the mountains for safety will be especially at risk during this time. They flee to hide from all of the evil. They live as refugees, many of these refugees will have experienced the salvation that Christ offers through the tribulation preachers. Because of their faith, they will have lost their homes and possessions. The Satanic false teachers will infiltrate their group and try to entice them to leave their hideouts and fall into the hands of the antichrist. I see drones being used to scout out and kill people in hiding.
Deception is coming, be careful. Here is the reality of What Jesus is teaching his disciples: My return is something you can’t miss!
That is essentially what he says! Jesus is reminding them that they will not have to wonder about the Second Coming. It will be like lightning, illuminating the sky in a moment. Like the lightening comes from the east and flashed in the west, so also will the Son of Man come again! EVERYONE WILL SEE IT!! It won't be stretched out over a long time, nor will happen in secret. The return of Christ will be sudden, public, universal and glorious.
Now, several weeks ago I told you about this blue beam. If there is any truth to that the anitichrist will use this tech to deceive the world. I can envision the Antichrist using this to deceive many during or maybe at the beginning of the tribulation.
Keep in mind these verses are not referring to the rapture, but the second coming. The Bible says every eye will see him. Like the lightening He will not be missed! The Glory of the Lord will illuminate the heavens. This glorious light will announce to all who are on the earth that Jesus will come back!
The words spoken to his disciples as Jesus ascended into heaven predicted this event: “This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so, in like manner as you saw him go into heaven”{Acts 1:11} the apostle John described this event in similar terms: Rev. 1:7 Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.
Christ message to the tribulation believers is clear: until I appear in this unmistakable manner stay hidden. You will not have any trouble knowing when I arrive.
